iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina Miami Gardens Concert reviews
Lorde reigned supreme
Confession: I'm a music lover regardless of origin in my 50s. About a year ago, I heard "Royals" and wondered if there was substance on Pure Heroine, this young lady's album. Good iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina! Her youth belies her writing. The songs she fashions from her imagination to the production of the song and performance in concert, incredibly mature for ANYONE at any age, but absolutely ridiculous for someone not old enough to vote!
So I looked forward to the show, and my expectations were high, admittedly... which can be a formula for disaster. No matter, this concert was FANTASTIC, hands down the most F-U-N I have had at a concert in 2026. I've been to Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Rod Stewart, Santana, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the entirety of Milwaukee's Summerfest selections (over 100 of the available 700+ bands), including the Kongos and other acts more akin to her age group.
I have seen the same reaction from our interns at work, themselves in their 20s, my younger roommates (also in their 20s), as well as a college buddy who at age 56 was completely blown away by this performance.
This young lady enjoys a platform from which she will no doubt emerge as the voice of a generation. I saw a young Kurt Cobain, a young Bob Dylan... same gut feeling: this one will speak for an entire generation.
She was... AWESOME.
